BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER

We are seeking a knowledgeable and innovative Biomedical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining medical devices and equipment, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and function effectively within healthcare settings. You will collaborate with professionals from various fields to solve complex challenges in the biomedical arena.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop biomedical equipment and devices, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct research to assess the feasibility, design characteristics, and performance of biomedical technologies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand user needs and improve existing medical devices.
  • Prepare and execute testing protocols, analyzing data to validate device functionality and safety.
  • Oversee device manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
  • Prepare documentation and reports on design specifications, test results, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in product launch activities, including training healthcare personnel on proper device usage.
  • Stay current with advancements in the biomedical field and integrate new technologies into project work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and software developers.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues in medical devices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Relevant work experience in biomedical engineering or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, etc.) for medical devices.
  • Proficient in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
  • Knowledge of materials science and biocompatibility is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
