ACUPUNCTURE SPECIALIST

The Acupuncture Specialist will deliver high-quality acupuncture treatments to patients with a variety of health concerns. You will assess patient conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide education on complementary therapies to support wellness and recovery. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of acupuncture techniques, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and lifestyle evaluations, to determine appropriate acupuncture treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement personalized acupuncture therapies to address individual health concerns and goals.
  • Utilize a variety of acupuncture techniques, such as traditional Chinese acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, and auricular acupuncture.
  • Provide education and guidance on additional modalities, including Chinese herbal medicine, dietary recommendations, and stress management techniques.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal health outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for patients.
  • Stay current with developments in acupuncture practices and holistic health approaches through ongoing education and professional development.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote the benefits of acupuncture and holistic health practices.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine from an accredited institution.
  • Current state license to practice acupuncture and certification from a recognized acupuncture board (NCCAOM preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in acupuncture practice, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Strong understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex health concepts to patients.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in specialties such as pain management, sports medicine, or fertility treatment.
  • Experience with adjunctive therapies such as cupping, gua sha, or moxibustion.
