Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment before and after procedures.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans accordingly.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education as a dental assistant preferred.
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) designation is a plus.
- Previous experience in a dental office is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in dental software and basic computer applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
